Permian Basin Bridal Association
The Permian Basin Bridal Association was organized
in the Midland/Odessa, Texas area in 1995.
There was a need for the brides and grooms to know
what vendors they could turn to in their area who
were reliable, capable, fair, and honest and could
help them plan for that milestone in their lives.
Through the dedicated and concentrated efforts of
several wedding-related businesses, the PBBA was
born and has continued to grow and service brides
and grooms.
The PBBA Mission Statement declares that we were
organized to "provide quality products and
services to customers in need of wedding/newlywed
related services and to promote a high level of
professionalism and success in every aspect of our
businesses".
We hope you enjoy our website. We have tried
to fill it with information that will be useful
and helpful. The members have experience not
only professionally in the wedding business, but
most of them have been either mothers/fathers of
the bride and mothers/fathers of the groom so they
can relate with the emotional experience of
planning a wedding.

If you are
interested in joining the PBBA:
The success of the PBBA is in the networking among
the members. By attending the meetings
regularly and serving on committees, your face,
your name, and your business services become
familiar. When a bride inquires of another
merchant about a service they don't provide, your
business, because of your familiarity, readily
comes to mind. Thus, great free
advertising!!
We meet the last Tuesday of the month (except
November and December) at 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. and
alternate meeting locations between Midland and
Odessa. We encourage you to hold a meeting
at your place of business, if possible, so the
members can familiarize themselves with your
business. We ask that you be responsible for
hosting or co-hosting a meeting. You would
serve the refreshments--cookies, sodas, water, or
even sandwiches or hors d'oeuvres if you choose.
NO LIQUOR IS PERMITTED AT ANY PBBA EVENTS.
If you don't have a place of business that can
accommodate between 15-20 members, the Comfort Inn of Midland and Odessa have graciously
offered us their meeting rooms.
During our annual membership drive, June 1-August
31, the membership fee is $75. If you join
after the membership drive, there is an additional
one-time application fee of $75. Your
membership fee covers one year's worth of
newsletters that come each month to inform you of
meeting places and other news, several listings
for the PBBA in the Area Wide phone book, a
listing on our website,
www.basinbridal.org, with you included under any of the
categories that cover your business services, PBBA
memberships in the Midland Chamber of Commerce,
Odessa Chamber of Commerce, and the Midland
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and any discounts
that are offered the PBBA including booths at our
annual bridal fair.
